Site Search

Seems to produce partial results for me

Maybe I'm doing something wrong, or mis-understanding what it is supposed to do, but I've never managed to get full results from the Site Search in the past few months (I reported it as a bug sometime in August).

For example, search for AdSenseAdvisor - the long message thread "Introducing AdSenseAdvisor" isn't included in the results for me, nor is "A compilation of questions for AdsenseAdvisor" (there are only two results, one of which doesn't mention AdsenseAdvisor at all).

There are plenty more examples, indeed I can't find most of the threads I've contributed to, via the search engine. What am I doing wrong?

You're not doing anything wrong. It's a known fact that the WebmasterWorld site search is very selective. Use Google or your favorite SE to search this site instead. You'll get better results.

Perhaps the search page should at least have a disclaimer on it (i.e. "this search doesn't actually work, it's just a placeholder until I get a proper one..."). :-)

None of the search engines, including Google, have full coverage of this site.
