I guess we'll have some sort of party, and we'll spring on the millionth poster with a surprise and bouquet of flowers.

I am guessing we would have the millionth post in less than a month, at the current rate of around 8000 posts/week. Or by christmas, if any more google update or spicy stuff to happen :)

Ya, it is a quirk of the software that it counts all the posts in all the "categories" that you have access too. I did it that way intentionally when I wrote it, but wish I'd done it on the forum level instead of category.
> 8000 posts/week
We did 8000 in one day last week. It is avging about 3000k a day with bursts to 10 k. I think it will be reached before the 20th of the month.

Sorry, answered my own question: in case anyone else is wondering where this number is seen - it is at www.webmasterworld.com/home.htm - the Forums Index page.
Amazing how I never noticed the count before.
