For some reason my account expired even though I post with some regularity. For days I wondered why I could not login and then I discovered I was no longer registered. How did that happen?
I see. I did post something in the Google news forum last week but I suppose it wasn't counted.

It wasn't counted if it didn't pass Google pre-mod. Posts to update threads usually aren't counted either.

Just tried to create a new account. I did that for purely experimental reasons: to see whether one specific username was available. This was the username that I first tried to register more than one year ago. I was told then that it already existed. It apparently still does though I have never seen it used.
