I'm trying to unsubscribe from getting email notices about a topic in the Supporters Forum I posted to, but the "Owner Edit" icon doesn't appear in my post. I'm definitely logged in, and I tried another browser but that didn't help.

I'm listed as a "New Member" (joined Feb. 2003, 16 posts, msg #: 5) -- is that the reason?

Thanks for your help, -MBJ-

Are you talking about the "Owner Edit" option to the left of your post? If so, that's only available for a set amount of time after it's posted. I believe that the email option is set in the control pnael, one of those links at the top next to the WebmasterWorld logo.

Yep, I was talking about the "Owner Edit" option to the left of my post, which doesn't appear. I couldn't find any way to unsubscribe from a topic in the Control Panel. I see a way to get or not get notification of new posts in a whole FORUM, but not for the individual topic that I made the mistake of asking to get email notification about....

Well, sure enough, there it is under owner edit--I never paid attention to that before. Learned something new today....

But as I said before, the owner edit option disappears after a certain amount of time. Maybe one of the mods has a solution.....

I made the mistake of subscribing to the last pubconference thread. 80 emails a day telling me somebody else replied :)

Once you've missed the owner edit deadline (a couple of days I think) you're stuck with the email notifications until the thread dies.
