Hi,
I guess this question is probably more for the admin and moderators but I would appreciate anyone with any advise too...

Basically i would like to start a forum with discussion threads/categories discussing the different available affiliate programs around...

The problem is i'm wondering if there will be problems related to copywrite or "defamation" etc...

I'm thinking that if i start a thread on a particular program, ther will be problems when

1)search engines pick up the name of the programs and rank the threads...does that mean i am violating copywrite or trademark...like making use of other peoples "names" to get traffic/business?

2)if someone posts negative comments/experiences, will i as forum admin be held responsible by the affiliate program owners?

I guess i'm asking this question here because i noticed a lot of the categories/threads here relate to specific search engines/directories...

Have their "legal people" ever given any problems like i described
above?

Or is it necessary to ask for their permission before we set up such discussions? (although i don't think that would solve the problems with negative comments in posts...)

Thanks - there is no way to discuss specifc aff programs without becoming promotional. Therefore, we do not do it on WebmasterWorld.
