Flags usage increases.

Well, I knew it would take some time, but people are slowly starting to warm up to the "flag" feature here at WebmasterWorld. There are now 300+ people who have used flags in the last month, 175 since monday last week, and 105 in the last 24hours. That's pretty good when 100+ people find it handy enough to use it daily.

Any comments or suggestions on what I can do to make it work even better?

I think it would be really ultimately cool if you could put your flags in to folders...I have so many I have to scroll.

How about this:

Folders for Flags like in StickyMail. You go check your StickyMail and the most recent 5-10 (configurable) active "flaged" posts appear at the bottom of the screen? It would be your own personal "active" list.

can the top 10 posts flagged be displayed in a special section? so those would be considered the "highlights" of the day?

Top ten flagged is definitely on the list of possiblities. The only trouble there is that most people flag only those convo's they are involved in.

That's what I'm looking for, what others are involved in. It's soooo easy now to miss good stuff here -so much going on. I tend to get into "blinders mode" and concentrate on certain interests, this would serve as an alert system. Others would be dropping flags in threads in the public forums that I might like to see. It could be a "Top 10 from the previous day" and polled on a cron at 3AM ET. ...that would be just fine.

exactly, or the previous day (we have to watch cpu load)
