(Austin, TX - USA) WebmasterWorld, the web's highest trafficked super forum, has made administration personnel changes. Brett Tabke, WebmasterWorld's owner, has appointed three new Administrators to the team: Ted (tedster) Ulle, Dave (DaveATIFG) Bellis, and Todd (oilman) Friesen following the retirement of three long-standing WebmasterWorld Administrators: Bob (rcjordan), Mark (NFFC), and Marcia (Marcia). The new appointments build on the strengths of the current administration team consisting of John (littleman), Neil (engine) Marshall, Ulrich (heini) Klammt, Warwick (Woz) Bone, and Greg (WebGuerrilla) Boser.

Ted (tedster) Ulle has been moderating the Browsers and HTML forum for three years and is highly regarded among the members and moderators as being one of the best complete-package HTML coders on the web today. Brett Tabke said, "Ted's moderating skills and extensive contributions made the Browsers forum the prototype for the entire WebmasterWorld site. He taught us all how to build a subforum to a success."

Todd (oilman) Friesen has moderated the diverse Webmaster General forum, originally the namesake of WebmasterWorld and considered by many to be the central topic hub of the site, for three years. Brett Tabke said, "Thanks to Todd's efforts, this is where all the other major topics and forums on WebmasterWorld are spawned."

Dave (DaveATIFG) Bellis has been with WebmasterWorld since switching from Search Engine World in 1999. He is member number two and has been the moderator of the Website Technology Issues forum since 2001. Brett Tabke said, "Dave has been instrumental, behind the scenes, in shaping the direction and tenor of WebmasterWorld. In addition, he has provided valuable advice at some critical junctures in our site's development."

"Over time, all three have made extensive and immeasurable contributions to the site and its management and we have considered them to be unofficial administrators for some time, now it's time to make it official."

Of the retiring team, Brett commented: "Marcia Welter, Bob and Mark have been Administrators at WebmasterWorld for three years, contributing enormously to its development and success."

Brett Tabke continued: "Bob Jordan is probably best known for his incredible news gathering skills and was often first to break news stories to share with WebmasterWorld's tens of thousands of members. This became a major part of WebmasterWorld's branding as a news source and, to a degree, is the reason we have become a respected source for tech journalists. WebmasterWorld is the number one "fact-find" site and is due in no small part to the original efforts of RC."

Bob Jordan commented: "I was delighted to be involved in building WebmasterWorld from the its earliest days, but now it is time to go back to enjoying the benefits of being a member. Ya'll forget there are only so many hours in the day." Bob concluded.

Commenting on Mark's retirement, Brett said, "Mark, (Nottingham Forest Football Club) on the other hand, has been responsible for a great deal of WebmasterWorld's moderating philosophy. His approach to board and member management resulted in Mark penning major portions of WebmasterWorld's Terms of Service. It was Mark's ‘tough love' attitude that helped set WebmasterWorld apart from all the other forums on the web today."

When asked why he was retiring, Mark said, "It's because of the WebmasterWorld effect: we come, we learn, we become successful on the web, and then we have no time to contribute to the community."

Brett continued: "Marcia has contributed greatly to all WebmasterWorld forums, and especially through several of the subforums she moderates. Marcia helped make the Google News forum the web's central clearing house for Google information and news. In addition, Marcia's also known for her incredible sense of detail and for her skill in community building. Every new member was given special attention which contributed significantly to create WebmasterWorld's so called ‘sparkle.' New members soon realized we aren't ‘just another forum.' Marcia said, "Helping to build up this place has been immensly rewarding, but my personal workload has increased to the point where it's high time to put the brakes on. I'll be concentrating on the Google forum, my first love, giving it the attention it really deserves."

The amount of brilliance around here is staggering.

Perfectly stated. And in this case, it's both outgoing and incoming brilliance. Tip of the hat to all involved for your "involvement." :)

Both the outgoing and the "incoming" team are one of the assets of this forum. Without a solid group of moderators, a forum doesn´t survive.
But they aren´t going away, they will keep contributing for this wonderful community, so long live WebmasterWorld :)

Congrats to both the incoming folks, and even more so to the mods who have earned a well-deserved rest. Brett, does this mean you're going to retire me in another year or so? ;)
