Are Londoners wearing jackets this time of year?

Sorry if this is a dumb question... yes I did check the weather reports... I haven't worn a jacket in two years (Southern California) and I'm wondering if I should buy one before I leave tomorrow. I asked my Mom and she doesn't know either :)

Weather:

Thurs - Mon, Sep 18 - 22:
highs between 21 C and 24 C
lows between 11 C and 15 C

Tue - Wed, Sep 23 - 24
highs: 18 C
lows: 11 C

Unless the sun comes out and the temperature goes over 27/80 then they take them off for a bit :)

A 5 day forcast for London here [bbc.co.uk] and it is getting quite chilly in the evenings now. If you have a sweater that keeps you warm at 10/50 you'll be ok.

It looks like no rain either - yipeeeeeeee

Mothers know EVERYTHING...

been a bit hot last 2 days, so no idea whether you will need a jacket. a good sweater just in case I think.

Be prepared for it to piss down and be cold. Our recent decent weather is set to change. Expect anything, from snow to sun. My bet is have something warmish, it can get cold walking to the pub.

Right now in the daytime its quite warm, you could still wear summer clothes.

Bring some jeans and perhaps a jumper and you will be fine.

Oh and Lycra .. always works in london I believe :-)

It was hot, hot hot, Wednesday - Monday morning but I got soaking wet Monday afternoon in the 200 meters between the hotel and Kings Cross Station. I had to change clothes at the stations to prevent catching a cold - even my shoes were wet on the inside. First time ever I didn't regret bringing an extra pair :)
