I'm getting a really wierd display error on the forum titles in WebmasterWorld (ie on this page it is the bit that says "Webmaster World Community Center").

Lower case 'r's are being displayed in a kind of horizontally striped pattern (sort of like there were half closed horizontal blinds in front of them).

I've never noticed this before, and I'm 99.9% sure I would have...

MacOS 9.2, Mozilla 1.2 (is fine in IE5)

Any ideas?

Sounds like a Mozilla bug or some file Moz uses is contaminated.

I had something similar happen on my laptop last night - not just on WebmasterWorld but on all sites - a quick reboot and it was all fixed up.

Ya, when fonts screw up - then it is time to reboot. It is a classic windows mess.

Same thing happened to me the other day, only it was a particular letter completely missing. It was odd. Restart fixed it. Yesterday my program icons in the task bar disappeared - the stuff was still in the bar, just no little icons... Gotta love Windows ;) I usually take that kind of weirdness as a sign I need a break, because my computer surely does.

<cough>

yes, restart fixed it...

given what I do for a living, I really should have thought of that for myself..

Just to be fair to our friend Bill, I should point out I'm on a Mac, so its not his fault..
