Just noticed WebmasterWorld maybe blocking url posting they come up as *****'s. Or it's not allowing me to post a link to ****** ****.
How can I post a link to a site like *** **** to help a user?
Thanks

Brett has requested that people don't direct WW users to *** *** and has blocked that URL in the forum software. Other than saying "We can't answer a specific query here and we can't tell you where you can ask a specific query", I'm not sure how we're supposed to help people making the kind of specific query in that first post. If someone's going to suggest a way to find a solution, it inevitably has to lead off the board, either to the dmoz public forum or to the dmoz abuse reporting form. I'd be grateful for some guidance from the mods.
People who don't know about the connection between ODP and *** ***** (I was one) are likely to be confused. I know I went looking on this board for that zone. It would help if helpers make it clear that ** is a domain name. Surely it is OK to spell it out as domain dot com?

I agree with you. It's domain dot com that has been banned as an acceptable term.

Nah - we don't want any more mention of it. There was a clear spam campaign on about that particular domain. WebmasterWorld was mentioned by name by a few of those that run that site as a place to spam that url. That domain is not an official domain and you would probably run into more higher ups in that org right here than over there. We are DONE been their feeder support site. It is no different than seeing google spam reports.
