Well, the title & description says it all, doesn't it?

I'm subscribed to the European SE Forum and just recieved a new discussion notification. Clicking on it results in a message:

status: On Hold: This discussion is temporarily on hold pending administrative review. etc.

Is this a mistake? I thought only Forum 3 was pre moderated? Message moved by the mods perhaps?

Other question: why send 'new discussion notifications' before threads are approved?

Brett knows there are still some issues with the premoderation. I can't find the link at the mo. Drop him a sticky and I'm sure he'll look into it.

The Euro forum is not premoderated.
However setting posts onhold, so that they need to be approved by the mods, is an option built into the software. It's a handy tool for admins to flag a post for the mods to look at.
Getting a notification for a post which is then onhold is a bit dissapointing. We tend to use the feature sparsely. I believe this is the first or second time a post was set onhold in the entire history of the European forum :)

in this case it was an admin, who flagged the post to himself... I had it onhold while talking with the member per sm, trying to figure out what to do with it

and if something is moved out of Google - it retains the status until a mod looks at it.
