How did you find WebmasterWorld?

Just thought it would be interesting to see how everyone found this place. ;)

I actually found it by searching for something internet related on Google, and it brought up a WW thread (nice SEO!) which answered my question, and out of curiosity, I checked out the main page.

Then I went, "hmm, cool site... I'll add it to my favorites." Then I started viewing almost on a daily basis, and finally registered, and now am somewhat of a regular poster here. :)

Interesting how things work out. :D

dvduval, linkshark

Found it when it was searchengineworld

- this was once searchengineworld? I think i recall that name from a few years back when i was heavily interested in all things SE - then again, there are (was/were/hasbeen) lots of sites with that term as part of the name.

Nice to hear a voice from the past :)

Now my interest in SE's has widened/changed to become usability, with SEs (and other bots) as only one part of the equation, but i still like to stay updated.

I haven't been registered for long. I remember. It was that gigantic "A close to perfect .htaccess ban list" thread with a lot of interesting bot namesdropping that opened my eyes and made this forum a worthwhile read. Now i try to contribute a bit when i can as well :)

My mate told me about it last month.

I'm already very impressed with the content!

For me it was quotes from GoogleGuy's statements in another (local) forum and then I saw... ...there's a whole world behind :-)

Brett - I'd be surprized if there wasn't a bullseye on that forum's back by now.

As for me? Google, day of panick trying to resolve some crisis-du-jour.

I was looking for information on the specifics and laws surrounding the registration of domain names. Google search had an excerpt from a forum posting that matched my search query.
