Is it just me, or is WebmasterWorld slow today?

Same here by the time I post an unanswered post you already have answered!..

I want to blame it on Esmeralda [webmasterworld.com].

By the way - where did that name come from?

Very slow for a while, I thought I was banned before. ;)

I cleared my cache and it cleared up a bit, but that could be coincidence. One thing is for sure, surfing the site slows down when my mailbox gets too much in it. I forget to remember to clear out stickymail, so an occasional slow time is generally a reminder. On the list for tomorrow.

What > fathom > 20 years in submarines > acoustics > that was the affectionate nick giving to the Chief of Operations... as we tend to be the ones that run the boat into the bottom by not having the correct depth (in fathoms or 6 foot six intervals). :)

Our very own Captain Pugwash? ;)

The board appears to be on/off for me. Sometimes really quick, sometimes so slow I just can't be bothered to wait. When is Brett moving to the new servers?

Gee, I thought the ladies' names were named after someone's ex-girlfriends.

Looks fine again now.

Maybe the States went back to sleep (except Marcia of course).

Fathom, thats interesting, but I know you know that I meant Esmeralda..;)

If Fathom is male - your nick qualifies you for the next update?

Have no idea V > but yes, I knew what you meant but instead of saying "I don't know"... thought I would provide insight in something I knew for sure! :)

Oh BTW > no ladies in subs so always male! ;)

Almost reset my connection, before treading this. Real sluggish this early.

The of the domains I have at westhost seem to all be slow.

Too bad, their loss! Ladies are born with better built-in radar and sonar than man could ever hope to invent. They totally missed the boat - or should that be missed the sub?

Slow, and getting slower.

I assume that it is the Esmerelda effect. You only have to look at Alexa to see the Google update effect on WebmasterWorld over time

I thought I'd been banned. Probably should be...
