Brett mentioned that there would be some 'Pre-Moderation' on Forum 3 (Google News) in the Pre-Moderation Test UnderWay [webmasterworld.com] thread (message is locked, so I started a new thread here). I do understand the reason, and therefore I have no problems with that.

Today I started a new thread at that forum and got a message the new thread was 'on hold'. I expected some 10 minutes delay or so, but now after almost 3 hours nothing changed. Then I noticed in the past 11 hours, only 1 thread was started in the Google News forum. Is there something going wrong with new threads?

If they are not going to allow any new threads that haven't been discussed any time before, it is going to become a pretty dull forum.

The problem is that among much of the noise many are concerned about was a lot of good, well thought out discussion.

I hope they don't over regulate it.

Man I just reached a new high in my last post only to read this one and know that if its stuff in between hundred's of other posts then it nay not make it live. Its to bad too couse I had a monster post aimed at the googleguy(nothing bad at all:) just funny and real. Well, i'm off to bed now, be back in 8 hours or so, by then everything should be back on track.....

The thread is now added to the Google News forum with the original data/time (so it never ended up on the 'recent posts' page). Also other recently started threads in forum 3 are now to be found there. So it looks the problem is solved.
