Is it just me or there seems to be problems with WW?

Probably a symptom of the dates being up the creek. I'd advise you check you preferences, give it a day or two and then sticky Brett.

Me too. I'm not gonna bother sticky'ing Brett, because I'm sure he knows... he's just messing with our minds; forcing us to look through the forum indexes. In another thread ( [webmasterworld.com...] ) the reason given for the craziness is to force us to look for older unanswered posts instead of just looking at the brand new ones, but I think there is more to it (it is a conspiracy). My theory is that its also a tactic to inject new blood into the forums. i.e. Without the crutch of the email notification you find yourself thumbing through forums that aren't in your 'Forums Watch List' and that you don't normally hang out at. You find them interesting and get hooked. (Its working in my case)

Anyone else have any other conspiracy theories?

Brett, feel free to jump in and dispel any myths. Feel equally free to stay out and let the mystique and aura grow ;)

i think it was an effort to trick himself and others into thinking the Matrix reloaded is closer than it is. Mean trick really :o

Everything seems to be back to normal for me except I'm still not getting emails from the watch list. Dates are fine, new messages show ...

I've dumped all cookies, logged out, logged in and reset my preferences.

just a note to let Brett know, not an urgent request
<edit> just noticed that "posts:" isn't increasing though

Hey nancyb,

I haven't seen a problem with post incrementation. Don't forget that posts in the Local section don't have a bearing on your Post Count.

Not get email notifications as yet, but I expect them to come flooding in some time today!

Same here: no email warnings.
