Proof that Spammers read WebmasterWorld

I have been following a concerted Spam attempt on Yahoo Geocities member directory for nearly 3 months. It has flooded the directory with machine generated pages - almost to the point where the directory might as well just shut down. It's perpetrated by the man responsible for the xrenoder trick that replaced MSN with coolciagarettes.com when you hit search on IE.

I was looking at the music\genres\country\events section and to my surprise I saw a number of usernames I recognised.

mac22guru
soapylstar
godlikelotus
visittothailand
and a few others that are close to WW contributors

The pages for these 'users' normally have a paragraph of porn as the actual content but now seem to be an increasingly bizzare cut up technique involving porn and other random phrases.

so the xrenoder spammer man obviously reads WebmasterWorld and is using your names.

Looks rather like a script than a human "reading" here to me - look at the malformed names.
Not much you can do against such things, I guess.
