Do we need to change the board clock an hour forward in settings, or will the boards soon be changed to the correct time?

go into control panel and change it from there

in system preferences

Hello Bill, here in Japan daylight saving was introduced by the US after World War II together with (other) improvements like streetnames and reducing the number of kanji. But after the occupation the streetnames and daylight saving was turned back.

You might not like it, but there is a reason for so many countries to have it.

System time is based on UTC/GMT anyway. Feel free to update your offset from the system preferences on the control panel.
