Short posts do not come easy for me, blah… blah … blah!

I’ve been posting here for 2 and a half years and I tell you, these 1000 posts constitute for me my growth over that time. I found Webmasterworld originally because I was researching themes, and of course Brett had them. I couldn’t believe it when Brett asked me to moderate; I hope he’s not regretting that decision. I’ve seen the Link Development forum grow and it’s more active all the time, which is really exciting for me. There’s so much more I’d like to contribute to Content, so I see the year ahead and am very eager for it.

Webmasterworld has helped to grow over this time as a person, professionally and from friendships forged here. Webmasterworld is a vital place that draws me daily, like all of you I just can’t stay away.

I can hardly wait for Boston; I’m so excited about meeting everyone, putting faces to nicks. Please, everyone come to Boston and we’ll really have a party. I’m imagining smoky corners, a big mug of dark ale and lot’s of linking talk.

I’m proud to be a part of this experience. I’ll never reach thousands of posts, not my style. Like the rest of you I just hope to stay consistent and help where I can.

congrats Paynt, I just wish I could restrain myself from posting as much as you do, we all know that when you do post its quality that's being posted and not just an off-hand comment.

You and other long standing members are what made this place what it is today, and knowing this, it's all good ;)

Congrats on (almost) hitting the thousand mark. ;)

Not a lot of posts considering how long you've been around WW, but I have to say that I always stand and up and take notice whenever you do, because your insights are consistently illuminating.

Thanks!

>restrain myself

There's always someone worse BOL ;)

Nice one Paynt! - Quality is what it's about and I'm with Martinibuster on the taking notice part...

Interesting coincidence: First GoogleGuy and now you. Two of the most important and most highly respected members passing the 1K point within a few weeks.

Quality and quantity are two distinctly different phenomenons, but even a miniaturist like me recognizes that some kinds of quality require quantity to really unfold. The symphonies of Bruckner and Mahler (= Paynter!) might be mentioned as magnificent examples. Your posts may not be on quite the same level but are never the less examples of the same kind.

Congrats to you. And to us for having the privilege to be your readers.

1k! Imagine if you took all that wizdom and put it into a book (*wink)

Looking back when you sent me here... I was like "yeah.. sounds cool" (implied brushing off attitude) Now all I can say is WebmasterWorld this and WebmasterWorld that... ha ha!

Thanks for leading me to this great place of minds. Congrats on your milestone and thanks in all that you do here...

Congratulations, Paynt! Thank you for sharing so much of your knowledge about linking and themes. I've learned a ton from you!

I'd also like to say that the way you present your information is also appreciated. Your posts are always written very clearly and your enthusiasm always shows through and is contagious. I also think you do a incredible job of making everyone feel welcome by acknowledging people's contributions to topics you start.

> There’s so much more I’d like to contribute to Content, so I see the year ahead and am very eager for it.

I'll be looking for to this. It's an area that I'm working on hard right now, and I intend to start contributing here myself.

Right on:)

>>Now, come join my party in community and tell me why you post. Why you are willing to give up a few of your tips? What is it about this community, knowing there are dozens of folks reading you don’t even know about lurking, that draws you in to posting.

Well done on the 1000 mark. Invigorating posts in relation to your # of posts prove that whole point of quality over quantity. I can only hope that by the time I reach that mark my knowledge and experience will allow me to post such indepth insight. Being as young as I am and only having about 3 months IT under my belt, WW is amazing and definately my bible. There are times that I come here to read up on something at the start of my day and before I know it, it is time to go home......hahaha.

Granted alot of my posts are newbie questions. And any tips I give away are always tips that senior members have given me. So alot of credit is due to you Paynt and all the others(the list of members I owe thanks to is just too long) that have helped.

As for boston.....I would give my left leg to be there but coming from South Africa cannot afford to but will definately be there in years to come. I would love to meet you all but it is something that will have to wait:-)

Best wishes to all and keep smiling;)
