Congratulations to your Alexa ranking. Looking at the statistics I would guess you will get into the top 100 pages by the end of the year.
Out of curiosity, how many unique visitors do Webmasterworld get/day.

You can ask your webmaster:
- what their favorite food is.
- how much they make a year.
- if he/she is married.
- what religion they are.
- what their sexual orientation is.
But you can never ask them, how many uniques you get. ;-) a wee bit too personal.
(just for reference, pizza, no comment, single, christian, straight)...
If I remember rightly, Brett mentioned that there was in region of 75,000 registered members.
So....
Assuming that around 60-70% of registered members post a message at least once (I would say thats a good estimate given the market and the forum), and around 80% of those at least come back 3-20 times a week, then....
60% of 75000 = 45000 members posted
80% of 45000 = 36000 return visitors
So even if every return member came back once a week then that would be 144k UVs per month.
On top of which, there are SE referals (er, is the site optimised? ;)) and highly-addicted repeat visitors....
I would say 250,000 UVs per month would be a modest guess at the sites monthly traffic. :) Around 9k per day, which seems reasonable given the amount of posts there are.
Of course I have taken all these figures out of thin air, so I could be way off! :)

A small town in Iowa probably doesn't offer many ops. I remember my days in small towns in a neighboring state, not many opportunities for quality women in a town of 2,500 when you are my or Brett's age. I expect that (small town) is more Brett's problem then lack of charm and good looks or a fat wallet that makes up for all that.

Server.com gets over 80,000 uniques per day, but our Alexa rank is only 2,800.
Marketing Guy, you are way way off by multiples. I don't remember what that figure you started with is in reference too must have been awhile ago. I weed the membership base once a week to 90 days without posting a message - no exception.

I got 5K uniques the other day. I'm at Alexa ranking 120000
I think it's only realistic for those of us getting alot of traffic :)

As for WebmasterWorld visitors, I'd wager on 40-50k uniques a day.
I've been around big national brand corporate sites and massive network sites before, but whew, last week was uncharted territory for me.
I am not gonna guess how many _daily_ uniques that might mean, but I wouldn't be surprised if WW had more than 500k uniques on some days. Perhaps _much_ more.
Another question: How many pages do all these people see? My guess would be that a very large part of the visitors see more than 10 pages at a visit and that quite a few see much more. It sums up to a lot of work for the servers. And then of course there are all the posts and stickies.
