The post count isn't changing in real time.

To those, you can add these:

[webmasterworld.com...]

and

[webmasterworld.com...] from back in March.

All my posts are marked at 443 posts whether I replied to a current post or started a thread myself.

Any ideas?

Pendanticist.

Is it anything to do with this thread?

Member Post Count Change Coming [webmasterworld.com]

All post counts will now be "embedded" in each post. It means the dynamic nature of post counts is over. Once you leave a post, your current post count total will be stuck on that post forever.

I don't know what the deal was there with pendanticists' post count - all appears to be working as it should.

Never mind. I was only trying to point out what I see as a discrepency between what is actually happening and what you say is supposed to happen.
