I was just doing a little "Control Panel" house cleaning today and noticed I have a whack of flags from threads I have totally forgotten about.

We should have a flag exchange request forum. Remember all those threads you recall reading here on WebmasterWorld, but you just can't seem to find it on the site search? Perfect, perhaps someone here flagged it and can help you out.

I figure with half a million posts floating around here, everyone is looking for a particular thread sooner or later..

Just a thought..

Is there a limit to the amount of flags you can have?

We mods have discussed this several times, we'd love to have a sort of board index of "the most flagged" threads and/or "all flagged threads." It would make for some great reading, eh?

Unfortunately, we've kept BT shut in the basement programming too many other must-haves, but some sort of flagdex is definitely on the like-to-have list.

It would be great if when you flag a thread you could enter your own title for it.

When I look at the threads I've flagged, half the time (or more) I can't recal why I flagged it. You know, your reading a thread about widget word density and someone posts an popping comment barely related to the thread title, but to good to lose track of.

Course you can do the equivelent thing by bookmarking the thread...... but what fun is that?

I just wanted to flag a page with a link to a site about optimizing your windows setup...but I can't find it. It may have been deleted becuz of the link (it did seem a bit spammy)...I liked the site because as far as I could tell it wasn't selling anything and was just tips...Too bad I hit the close window button too soon...
