I've been trying to log into the private forums, I've paid the subscription fee, received a confirmation e-mail, and have cookies enabled. Anybody have any ideas why I can't log in?

I think Brett has to add you to the secret list ;)

Normally takes a few hours.

He must be busy at the the conference then, I signed up yesterday morning. I guess I'll just have to sit tight then?

Or the admins could implement PayPal Instant Payment Notification [paypal.com].

Sorry about that - it will have to wait until I'm back in pocket late this afternoon.

The problem with the kick back back routine from PayPal is that we use nicknames/Member ID's here. That does not necc work with PayPals system. It would require us asking for a name from the member twice - once here, and then once again over on PayPal - they would have to match perfectly in order to make that work. That would mean many problems - it just wouldn't work in this environment.

Hold tight - I'll handle it early this evening when I am back at the office.

I think Brett already has that, but has to manually approve the member status to allow entry backstage.

dont want the wrong crowd in there do we.

PayPal allows you to pass a variable called "custom" which gets passed back to you in the confirmation message.

No worries. I'll be patient.
