Hi,

I've been studying the question for years, without succeeding to make my mind about it.

So far, I only took servers with 4 "real" cores , and no HT . In a near future, I'll change one of my server, and take a 4 cores 8 threads CPU (I made my choice based on the offer, not the CPU model).

I often read that HT only profits to very specific applications, which are multi threaded , and which are using Intel's special set instructions.

So for a server using common applications linux / apache / nginx / php / mysql / mariadb, is it better to disable the HT ?

Regards,

tangor

Real world (as you run it) is where you make the determinations.

If the system can handle inbound and serve outbound and not crater...

What number are you seeking?
