Need help building a $500 CPU

I don't know much about hardwares so I'm seeking the help of the hardware experts here on the best I can get for 500 bucks. It should be able to run multiple programs at the same time like Photoshop.

8GB of ram can be had for under 100
asus MB under 100
case and HD are up to you.

I just parted together an AMD FX gaming box for 380..and thats with a 1gb video card.
