Network-enabled printers

Will they usurp USB any time soon?

I am starting to see network-enabled printers on the market, which use an RJ-45 ethernet connection instead of USB. I am wondering, is this likely to become a USB-replacing trend soon, or will USB and network printers (and other peripherals) both be in the market for years to come?

Is this the reason motherboards are starting to come equipped with two network connections?

Aside from eliminating the need for print servers, and potentially faster throughput, what advantages and disadvantages would a network-enabled printer possibly have?

An advantage I see is that I can print from any place/machine on my homenetwork without having a pc running full time just for getting the printer connected to the network. Maybe saves a little on energy.
