Two Modem/Routers on One DSL Line?

I want to host my website from by basement where my home office is. I currently have a DSL modem/wireless router upstairs at the other end of the house where my wife's home office is. The wireless signal to my home office is just weak enough to be unreliable for hosting a website. My home office just happens to be on the other side of the wall where the phone line comes into the house. I'd like to punch a hole through the wall, bring in a line directly from the outside junction box and install a second DSL modem specifically for the server. My question is, can I run 2 DSL modems off one phone line? Any other issues I should be aware of with such a plan?

No. DSL is a point-to-point protocol at the hardware level. It permits exactly two endpoints to the connection.

Why do you want to host your website in your home? You are MUCH better off spending a few dollars a month for a professional hosting service, that will host your website on a shared machine in a data center.

You can get wireless repeaters. I have a D-Link, though I don't use it as a repeater. (This particular model can act as either a repeater or an access point.) Alternately, you can improve the wireless signal through positioning of the access points, and/or an external antenna. A directional antenna pointed at the other unit should do the trick if you are just on the edge now.
