Fireworks 100% CPU

i use adobe fireworks 8 all day for creating website mockups. after a few hrs of usage, simple things like drawing a long line or dragging layers around makes the program starts to react really slowly. ctrl alt del shows that when i perform those actions, cpu goes to 100%.

this is on a 2.0Ghz dell, winxp with 1GB of Ram, hard drives just defragged and filesize of the png is not mmore than 2MB. and its def only after a few hrs of usage, not at the beginning. anyone know what causes this or how it can be fixed?

how many fonts do you have installed, in Fireworks 8 I think there was a problem if you had too many ..
