Monitor Problems

I hope this ok with the moderators here, its not quite webmaster related. Feel free to delete the topic.

My dad trades on his computers downstairs, and he has several monitors for trading. Just yesterday when my sister used it for awhile, and left, and my father returned, one monitor stopped working and got the "no signal" message. My dad asked me to check for problems, so I checked the wiring, re-plugged everything back in, restarted the computer, etc. And I still couldn't get the monitor to work. Can anyone think of some potential causes for this problem that i might not have thought of and some solutions?

Sounds like a graphics card related problem?

I assume you double checked all connections. You might want to make sure you have any required drivers etc installed.

Or you could ask your sister what she dropped on it :)

the monitor just started randomly working today, thanks for the replies, im just hoping this wont happen again. she claims to have been printing stuff out for school, but god knows how dumb people can be when it comes to computers :)
