Ok, so when I turn on the computer it starts beeping for a second or so and drops this warning "CPU FAN FAIL", then offers to enter bios or press F1 to continue.
When I called the company from which I bought the PC, they said it's normal thing or smth. It's like when the CPU isn't warm enough, it shows this warning. And really, when I tried turning off the pc and on after working for a couple of hours, it doesn't show that warning. My CPU heat at the begginning is about 33 C., normally about 40, when I play games goes up to 50 C.
So I think everything is ok, but that noise is just pisses me off. I heard it's possible to turn off the warning message in bios somehow. I don't want any trouble, so maybe you can clearly tell where to go in bios to turn off that sound?

Have you opened the case and checked the fan rotates at start up? Its possible the motor bearings are 'sticky' causing the fan not to start immediately, or run slow until it warms up.
If you can beg or borrow a replacement fan, try it and see if that has any effect.

Yes, I have. It starts rotating, after a second stops a little and then rotates normally all the time.
Actually they said, it's like the fan is smarter than a motherboard and starts when the processor is warm enough, so MB doesn't recognise the fan at first.

Temperature sensing is done by the mobo. The fan produces a constant pulse stream when its rotating which the mobo monitors to determine fan health. When the fan stops so does the stream, I think this is what causing the warning.
Whether its the start of a major problem, I don't know, but fans are cheaper than processors!
I'll try to get another fan, cause this was pretty cheap. I heard that Zalman is good, what would you recommend?

Do you have also have fans in the case?
If not a couple of cheap ones, one blowing air in one side near the bottom, and at the top on the opposite side sucking it out will keep the temperature down.
By the way, I've measured preformance of fans with a soft. that comes with MB driver cd.
My PC fan shows about 8000 RPM all the time. And that CPU fan shows only 280 RPM at the very beginning when I turn on the PC, then goes higher and higher. That soft. wich measures temps and RPM's loads automatically after my pc boots and it "beeps" until my CPU fan reaches 600 RPM. Usually, after 15 min and then all the time CPU fan rotates at 1000 or 1100 RPM.

My PC is very new and I wouldn't want to believe there's a problems with it. That fan is new also but im planning to change it cause that beeping pisses me off. i would disable the warning in bios, but I don't know where. My bios is weird.

It should be blowing cool air into the case, if not turn it round.

Faults are more likely to occur with new equipment. Once its 'run in' faults are unlikely, as it gets older faults become more and more common - its called the bathtub curve.

It's blowing air out of my case. I don't know, my old PC I had also blew air out of the case, not into it. I don't want to mess with things I don't know well. I'll just leave it, it's not the problem anyway...
Jo1ene, thanx. I'll try to update my BIOS. But I don't want to mess anything, I've heard that it's not recomended playing around with BIOS. As I undersand it's a soft. right? Is it possible to download it somewhere for free? or it's paid. Now my BIOS shows name PHOENIX. Is it safe to install any other bios? And then how to actually install bios then? Run setup and that's all?...
Sorry, it's out of topic, but I think that whether updating BIOS and trying to turn off warning, or buying new CPU Fan can help me to solve that beeping problem. Installing bios sounds cheaper...
The BIOS can be updated or flashed [pcnineoneone.com] by going to the motherboard manufacturer's site and downloading the new BIOS and a flashing program. You can sometimes do it in Windows but sometimes have to do it from the DOS prompt. Quite often flashing the BIOS makes changes to settings you already have in your BIOS and could cause all manner of problems. Feel free to flash it if you are capable of hitting delete, going into the BIOS and resetting everything to your specific hardware, OS, software and preferences. From what you say it doesn't look like you are.
You can't install "another" BIOS (technically, you can - but you'll have to pull the BIOS chip off another motherboard of the same make/model). You can only update/flash the existing one and the only place to safely download the latest version is the motherboard manufacturer's site. It is possible for you to screw up the BIOS and if you do you can't get a new one, you throw it out together with the motherboard.
