Two Machines, two monitors

...and two keyboards. Yuk!

Is there such a thing as an AB type switch to where I can use the same kb for both machines? My 533 struggles with Yahoo mail anymore (animated banners really suk), so I've been doing that stuff on the 2.8 machine. My multi-tasking skills are fine, just a hassle switching boards from the shelf to the desk and back. Well, that and I end up mousing into the page and using the wrong kb to peck away.

I'd really like to utilize the same board, if possible.

A basic KVM costs about £30 in the UK (I use one) complete with cables for two machines. They're not that expensive unless you want to run the monitor over CAT V, or need more than 4 machines switched.

Basic would be what I want. Is there a more specific term? 'KVM switches' seems kinda generic.

Only looking for a basic swith that will allow me to use the same kb on both machines.

Anything specific I should be looking for, terminology wise?

I bought one for about 20 bucks in Houston at an electronics store, but I figure I can't post the link here. It's one of the old style with the switch in front to pick up to 4 monitors / keyboards / mice. The cables wound up costing more than the switch. Only downside is you have to be switched to a computer as it's restarting so the keyboard is found.

Belkin makes one - I don't know where you are, but if you've got a Best Buy or CompUSA nearby, they sell 'em.
