HP1100DTN Business Ink Jet
Fast, good quality, and auto duplexer. I really like it. Not a single problem. However, HP stretches the truth when they call this a "network" printer because you still need a computer to host the software.
HP9600 wide carriage.
Have not used it much, but it is nice to print out those huge spreadsheets with.
HP712 - hp932
Ah, the old gals are headed to the ash heap after a worthy long service with no troubles.
That's mine, how would you rate YOURS?
I also have a mid-bottom shelf HP office jet (can't remember the model). It's also quite good. I've never ever had a problem with HP printers.
I don't do much printing these days, so I tend to go for the cheaper inkjet models - trouble is, they all seem to be made to break after about 500 pages. I had a budget HP Deskjet, but the entire mechanism disintegrated after a paper jam! Just out of guarantee, of course... I've just bought a Canon i560, which is the first time I've not bought HP. We'll see how long it holds up.
Works for me....
Pretty much useless... there are little plastic pieces in the carriage assembly that like to break (I'm on my second unit - awaiting a 3rd unit as I write) and, of course, the printer won't do anything except cause aggravation at this point. Oh, and the extended warranty and associated perks are no good until the unit reaches maturity (I have to have it more than a year).
Brother MFC 3220C
Another useless printer. Ours simply refuses to accept paper anymore. By repeatedly trying to feed a single piece, a document may be produced after 5 minutes or more. Grrrrr.
So, if you want reliability and if you print more than a few pages a day, you might want to avoid these two. On a good day I might print a ream of paper.
Samsung QwikLaser 7000 Full duplex does PCL5 or PS and the cartridges are good for 6000 pages. Think it's rated at 17 pages a min. Great for printing one-up manuals, etc. I would Rate it Best Buy for laserJet
HP LJ 2 Got this one the day they came out about 10-15 years ago. Motherboard replaced, rubber roller parts replaced about every 2 years. It's only used now to printing checks. I'm not sure what we will do when it breaths its final gasp.
Samsung Laser All-in-One Model SF555-P Fax, Printer, Copier, and Scanner. Got it because it was the only Laser Jet fax I could find at the time. Best Fax I have ever used, holds a bunch of faxes in memory which is great when you come in the morning and find a 40 page fax and you only had 20 blank pages in the machine. Put the new paper in and off it goes. It's right outside of my office and it's super for a quick copy also. I have never used it as a printer but I'm sure it would do fine. I'm putting one of these in my home and getting rid of the Fax and Ink Jet that I'm using now. If you only have room for one or need one for your home this is the one I would buy.
I also have an HP DeskJet which is going to be changed soon, since it's something wrong with it, papers always get stuck. Thinking of getting one of those nifty, printer, scanner and copier in one :) But time will tell I guess :)

Hey, you better not trash my 932 without my permission. I have a lot of sentimental value attached to that printer! ;)
My Epson Stylus C64 is the workhorse I use for printing LOTS of black and white stuff. It does fabulous color, but I just don't use it for that. It's quiet and fast, and doesn't fly through ink cartridges too quickly (as far as I know).
I had a budget HP Deskjet, but the entire mechanism disintegrated after a paper jam!
Luck of the draw maybe; I printed CAD drawings for three years on a Deskjet that was already two years old when I started the job, and it was still going strong on refilled ink cartridges when I left the company. I'd guess that in my three years we ran 15-20000 sheets through that thing...

Got a LaserJet 5P that's 10 years old and still going strong.
Had a Tektronix Phaser 700 series (hated it) and an 860 (loved it but not true color) and plenty of HP Laserjets -- all pretty good except low end (1100's were horrible).
Also had Xerox personal lasers that were very good.
GOOD SIDE:
Scan, Copy, Print.
Very easy to use. Small and cheap.
Excellent photo quality when I need it.
Prints right to the edges of the paper (if I want).
BAD SIDE:
Ink is very expensive.
If I don't print for a few days it needs about 5 autocleans (which is a real pain when your in a hurry).
