I am going to start an affiliate site (first time) and I don't have a problem giving my SSN to sites like CJ, since I trust them, but there are some others that I am hesitant to give them to.

So, I signed up and got an EIN. This is NOT going to be my fulltime job or anything, just something to make a few extra $$. So how will all this work out tax wise? I will just be getting one extra form (1040) and also fill out Section C or something like that also, correct?

What if I find out this is going to be a huge pain in the butt, should I terminate my EIN? If so, should I terminate it before I ever use it to sign up for an affiliate? Also, what if I only make say, $100 a whole year, do I still have to report it?

Just trying to clear some things up, thanks.

Unless you've setup a C or S Corp or a Partnership (unlikely, since you didn't mention it), you'll probably just need to file a Schedule C with your regular Form 1040. You'll need to do this regardless of whether you have an EIN.

I just selected sole proprietor.

Anyway, so I might as well go ahead and use the EIN to signup, I'm getting a form regardless if I use/don't/cancel, correct?
