I started using Adsense to generate a couple of bucks this year. It was really minor and less than 2k. Does this screw up how I file my taxes or can I use the same old 1040EZ I've been using? I ask here because I know some of you guys must've been in a similar situation before.

The rest of my income is through a single W2 for a the company I worked for.

Nah don't do an EZ, go to an accountant. It's still income and you have to claim it (over $500 I think?)

Which actually emphasises my point, I was lulled into self-satisfaction by the EZ form ha ha, life is simple, I rule, I do my own taxes. Then one year I did an EZ, but laid out $125 to have our accountant do a long form on us.

Holy cow, he found another $1200 in our return that year, and let us know we have been losing out the last three years in a row. I learned the hard way, EZ is not the best way to go.

Find a good accountant, let them work your situation over. If you own a home (well forking out morgage payments anyway) the interest paid ALONE will cover $2k in adSense.
