Ideas on how to show PPC and direct sell ads on a mobile page

Mobile traffic is really killing me. About 65% of my site traffic is mobile, but a page on mobile makes a LOT less than the same page on desktop!

On desktop, I have 5-6 PPC ads, along with 3 direct sell ads. On mobile, I have room for exactly one ad... and that one ad is worth less than any of the PPC ads on desktop :-/

With Adsense revenue in the toilet, I really have to refocus on direct sell ads. But how? I can't afford to just replace the sticky Adsense banner completely while waiting for the direct sells to pick up value.

Any suggestions on how to fit a sticky PPC on the same page as a photo-text ad?

I'm thinking about trying to roll my own native ad format, but I have a real problem in that most of my local advertisers are very, very clueless. At least once a week I have someone tell me "I don't have internet, just Facebook". Seriously.

Roll your own is certainly more lucrative, but is much harder to accomplish. Did it for about 13 years then, due to health, sold off the company and site and "retired". Mobile at that time was just beginning to have an impact, so I don't have much experience to share, other than running your own ads will not face the same limitations as adsense or users routinely running ad blockers.

I sure wish I'd had that foresight! In 2015 I had an offer for $500k, but at the time that wasn't quite 3 years of revenue so it was too low. Now I have it listed for sale at $250k, and the only offers I've had are from scammers :-/
