Ads suddenly aren't appearing on any site or on any browser. Clearing the history makes no difference. There is no ad blocker. Suggestions?

If it is still an issue it might be your browser's privacy settings? A "Strict" setting makes some 3rd party resources unavailable.

Are you talking ANY site or YOUR site?
Today's browsers know what advertising from g looks like and generally do NOT block that content.

After much testing, the issue appears to be related to my VPN. It does block all ads on any site as well as disable functions on some sites -- such as the Google Chrome support forum. I have to turn off the VPN, disable the VPN startup process and restart the computer to make ads appear.
