How to point DNS

Hi, sorry for the neophyte question, I'm new to the forum, and I've been asked (AHIMè) to do this
So, I have a site hosted on Aruba (italian provider) and I have also purchased a subdomain on Aruba. I was asked to point the subdomain to a given IP (eg type 24.23.1.173). Now I'm not sure what to change in the subdomain control panel's DNS management and editing screen.
First of all (as in the image) I don't understand why I don't have to click and select the option "use other nameservers". Does the aim above need this option? In practice, if it is not clickable, what does it mean? Can't I make the site point to the IP they have communicated to me?
If, on the other hand, it was enough to modify the Record A already present, where should I write the IP that was communicated to me? I just change the IP that is written after the writing "(empty)", or I have to create a new A record by writing in the HOST box (the name of the subdomain already comes out on the right) only www.?
I hope I was clear.

Thank you

welcome to WebmasterWorld [webmasterworld.com], patroclo!

I don't understand why I don't have to click and select the option "use other nameservers".

i'm guessing the provider also hosts a dns and you have the option of using what they provide or specifying another dns hosting provider.

If, on the other hand, it was enough to modify the Record A already present, where should I write the IP that was communicated to me? I just change the IP that is written after the writing "(empty)", or I have to create a new A record by writing in the HOST box (the name of the subdomain already comes out on the right) only www.?

if i understand your question properly and if i understand the italian (lol):
- i would try clicking the pencil icon to the right of the "[vuoto]" record and see if you can edit the IP address
- next i would enter "www" in the "Host:" field (on the other screenshot) and specify the same IP address below

hopefully this will specify your web server's IP address to resolve DNS requests for www and non-www hostnames.

Get the New Nameserver Values.
