Hi so I don't' have a company for my website hence no commercial mail address. Besides Mailboxes etc is there any way to get a valid mail address (snail mail) in USA? Some good US company that sets you up with a mail address for the website's About page? Thanks!

You would need a US address and two forms of 'acceptable' identification to qualify for a PO Box. OR you can file your credentials online and open a USPS.com account. Again, it will require approved IDs.

There may (or may not) be circumstances that non-US residents can open an account and manage their PO Box online. You can find out at the USPS.com site. Near the bottom of the page there is a Need Help? link to ask your question and search results. There is a monthly fee for a PO Box, cost depends on the size of the box.

You would need to be able to retrieve your mail on a regular basis as they would close an account that never picked up their mail.

It has been many years since you could get a PO Box with less than two photo IDs. Several (over a dozen) years ago there were companies that would set it up for you but that is illegal now so it is either buy or lease a property and use that address or file a form - which they want the applicant to bring to the Post Office. Or you can create a USPS.com account online. From their site at www.usps.com/manage/po-boxes.htm :

What steps do I need to take to get a PO Box?

You can reserve a box with your online account at usps.com/poboxes, or by opening a new account using the same link. Once you find the box that's right for you and reserve it, print the PO Box™ application: PS Form 1093. Take it to the Post Office™ with two acceptable forms of ID.

USPS requires a USA (or territories) physical address. As noted above it is illegal for non-resident/businesses to have US Mail delivery if a physical address/business location does not exist.

Well yes I don’t live in CA currently but I have a residential address. Basically I need a California address for website’s about page. What are my options? Thanks again.

You may be able to find a mail forwarding service that you trust, but be aware that Google also knows about these services and there may be issues with using their addresses for anything related to Google. Use at your own risk.

Ask a friend to share their address.

It sounds as if the mailing address is intended to be a means, not an end. Why don’t you step back and explain the underlying purpose, and then maybe we can find another way to get to the same place.

Register a company in the US (LLC) some states allow you do it for low fees and very limited need for information, then you should be able to use LLC to get a mailing address.
