I was looking at the web browser statistics for trends, and it seems things are pretty stable.
Chrome has the vast majority of the market, with Safari in a distant second, and just about every other browser option making up the rest. More than likely the mobile use boosts Chrome's overall position, and looking at mobile only, it's clear that the huge volumes of Android devices out there take the number up.
I can't see that changing much in the short term, unless Google makes a major error, although, the FLoC issue might start to hurt the browser ratings a little.

Browser Market Share Worldwide - April 2021
Chrome
64.47%
Safari
18.69%
Firefox
3.59%
Edge
3.39%
Samsung Internet
3.3%
Opera
2.22%

Caution: here be lies, damned lies, and statistics...

Recommended quick read: Usage share of web browsers [en.m.wikipedia.org]

The value of such reports - and there is value - is not so much in any given month’s comparison but in the relationships over time.

Pick one source (so consistently comparing the same apples) and treat as a useful benchmark. Especially a source with a granularity that corresponds to one’s site audience locations, eg US, North America, and visitor devices, eg desktop, mobile.

And then use as a base against which to contrast one’s visitor log files. And track MoM, YoY, trajectories over time, etc.

Of course this metric is but one of many useful in identifying value and opportunity...

Reminder note: not all browsers, not all devices, offer the same value to all sites... know your own site stats!

Hello,

For my main site, stats (homemade analyzer) show, for the last 12 months:

Chrome
62.66%

Safari
24.89%

Firefox
7.53%

Edge
2.32%

Opera
2.03%

Others
0.57%

For a site which primary audience is USA, and then English speaking countries.
