My dev machine (3 years old) took an unexpected nap for 13 days. Had other hardware to keep plugging along, but with all this accumulated CoVid-19 vacation time I looked the beast over.
Drives tested good. Memory fine. Cables correct ... Still would not power up.
On a whim I replaced the CR2032 battery on the motherboard.
Voila!
So for a buck and a few pennies I'm back with the beast. Will have to dig up my notes for the overclocking that made it a speed demon because the battery change set the bios to default!
Probably could have avoided this when I noticed over the last month that the CLOCK and DATE were falling off every few days...
Just a heads up, kiddies.
Then again, aren't those little batteries supposed to last up to 7 years?
Oh well.
