I bought a script from codecanyon script that is well-coded but there is one problem in the source code.

when you open the source code 70% of the code you can see this Item name.

Eg.
 /css/itemname-theme/productname-stlyle.css
/js/itemname-js/boostrap.js

The item name is the name of the item I purchased.
so on...

This is really bad and I don't want to advertise any product name or brand etc... so I contacted the author and told him that I don't like this product name being seen on my source code and I want to rename all the directories so and his answer was it is not possible to edit source code if you want you to need to pay extra / need extended license for it.

As I've seen GPL license is allowed to modify the code.

I'm no an expert on this so I hope someone here can give me some advice.

this is my license

In general we do not give legal advice for all the obvious reasons.

If you cannot come to an agreement with the code supplier, find a different one who will. That's just commonsense.
