I can suggest that scraping FB for content (user info) and using it on a web page MIGHT create an adverse result (trying real hard to avoid saying the word "stupid").

I was talking about making a page not to steel other peoples info but for creating your own version of facebook for your self like how you could do with the old myspace.

As stated, it appears the desire is a "cold call list" culled from fb ...

I suspect the method would be an unsolicited email advising that culled list of a "new place"?

You will find that impossible to do without their contact details. From Facebook, all you will see are tokens for each user, and no means to contact them except from that FB page.

Mind you, if you do "know" your friends and they are not just a collection of finds, then you should know how to contact them directly.

Starting a new Facebook, even if just to fix the mess that they made of MarketPlace is a great idea. But they already have a huge head start and without funding, you can't afford to promote it. But you can do it just for friends. There are a lot of cloned scripts available that are not too expensive, but don't buy until you try for real because most that I tried didn't #*$! work.

In the end I satisfied that impulse by creating a CMS for freelance introductions and press releases.
