AWS Global Accelerator Helps Deliver Traffic to The Closest Location

We're all after speed of page delivery, and AWS is claiming the Global Accelerator will help with that by routing the user traffic to the user's closest endpoint.

Users are directed to an AWS customers' workload based on their geographic location, application health, and weights that the AWS customer can configure.

The new service also allocates static Anycast IP addresses.

I believe that this is similar to the "Railgun" service offered by Cloudflare.
