Just looking for a little help with this. I'm pretty good at design stuff... not always so good at the server stuff. I have a non SSL site that used an external processor, that was obviously SSL. I'm migrating my site to Shopify. I will use my old domain/URL and point to Shopify. I understand how to change the DNS records at my old host towards Shopify. But how does the SSL work? As I said, I do not have SSL on the old site. It looks like that host wants a fee for SSL. Apparently Shopify now offers free SSL with each site. When I point 'mydomain.com' to shopify, will my site then just automatically become SSL? For instance. Right now looking at my main products page on shopify is: https//MyCompany.MyShopify.com/collections

So if my old domain is 'http//MyOwnDomain.com and I point it to the shopify host and set it up with them, it would then become https//MyOwnDomain.com/collections? and the SSL just happens automatically, since they include it? I'll also do redirects from all my old URLs to the most appropriate new URLs. Thanks.

Yes.

Just make sure all your links are relative and all the absolute links are HTTPS including any links found in scripts or plugins.
