Is "no follow" advisable for ad code?

My ad software has a "no follow" option for each ad. There's also an option hide from robots.
What are the advantages and disadvantages of using one or both?
And, would doing so be a violation of Adsense policy?
Thank you

I wouldn't bother with either. There's no benefit.
Whether it's against Adsense policy, I can't find any specific language.

How do you set a nofollow attribute to an Adsense's ad ?
There's also an option hide from robots.
Why? If this is to avoid clicks from robots, Adsense is already filtering it on its side.

I use xenforo and ads manager (an addon).
