Hello. I just joined and what a wonderful community this is!

I am trying to promote my new forums.
I am looking for a free (I am completely self funded) online tool that slow sends, in batches, automated emails.
I have around 2000 email IDs.

I don't mind if the sent mails in a day do not cross 30-50. But I am looking for a free tool that automates the task so I can focus on other thinsg while my emails keep going.

Would love to hear from the experienced folk here....

Welcome to webmasterworld!

What kind of server/hosting? (generalities, no personal site links, please)

CMS?

How collected?

How do you wish to send?

Is this a newsletter, or direct mail?

welcome to WebmasterWorld, saumyavish!

the tool isn't the major issue - it's the server from which you are sending the emails.
if your mail server isn't "trusted" it will get rejected by a significant percentage of email service providers.

Whatever the advice any legitimate batch mailing is a constant battle against false positives by service providers and recipients spam filters. What worked perfectly for the last five years may suddenly fail when an algorithm is updated.

I stopped emailing invoices as attachments some years ago because they were regularly treated as spam. Now I am getting a lot of unpaid invoices because the download links are also regarded as a spam indicator. If it gets any worse I will probably go back to invoicing by snail mail.

I am lookimng at a third party server/smtp.
For example, if I could automate something out of Yahoo/Gmail etc.
My forums relate to the work I have been doing for over 15 years and I have collected emails of people over the years.

It will be a normal email (non-html) non-newsletter types. More like introducing people to my forums.
