Can anyone suggest where I might find an updated list of stub files? I have them for DARTIframe, eyeblaster, eyewonder, and flashtalking, but today I started to get complaints for rockabox and I don't have that one.

I googled it but all I could find was one site that had it listed as a Disallow in their robots.txt; eg:

User-agent: *
Disallow: /rockabox/rockabox_buster.html

But that just keeps search engines from finding it, doesn't it? It doesn't actually block ads looking for it?

(If anyone wants the stub files I have for the above, let me know and I'll post them or PM them)

Sorry, no info on the list of stub files.

Using a disallow in robots.txt only *asks* robots that support robots.txt to not index that file; it does not block ads, or other robots from finding it.

Are you looking to bust iframes site-wide?

Probably not ALL iframes, but there are a handful from Adsense that, when they load, they redirect my users to a 404 page. For example, the user that reported the rockabox error was being redirected to:

example.com/rockabox/rockabox_buster.html/?adunit_id=1073747564&campaign_id=1073742681&delivery_id=0269d646-d21b-407c-9fb0-1a0a07b6b5ad&domain=http://www.gonc.co&cachebuster=1498304296349244&lineitem_id=1073745132&placement_id=12328&ssp=DBM_1&dsp=DBM&time=1498304296607&dwell_start=0&session_id=0&clicks=%5B%22https%3A%2F%2Fgoogleads.g.doubleclick.net%2Fdbm%2Fclk%3Fsa%3DL%26ai%3DCwzboKE9OWbyoFY3spAPtp7CwBe78it5I18qJ_5sFpJSDga8JEAEg36esEmDJ3reKpKScEMgBCagDAaoE0wFP0FlIgW8bESwrfqG7uLVPRTxbcu-s2o9zVPgWAyjJU15dETX5Tcx4GdsEaIq4q2-f6bFn-AgDBH1LeRxywFHlmaGMtoRg8q-09suBeOToic0iiQaUvWw-PpmfV4hpRJwIymCgHBV8nVB2sPl3EIwNAtTY6KVAbyr6gDDHA4i7OGNcpNJN-3bFjSPvZlbx18ltRYW70dR8nH4wM_CpaD96MRvV1WxSJc_KuIs4RWXCqP4TmwIMgbwZBcAD4VxM6cm4iAnSwRTOZ-_woNPCOIL4xB984AQDoAZNgAeT9rxeqAevyhuoB6a-G9gHANIIBQiAYRAByBOCkv8B0BMA2BMK%26num%3D1%26sig%3DAOD64_3Qef05vAEh132rSPBnKCPc9_L6xQ%26client%3Dca-pub-****%26dbm_c%3DAKAmf-ClV27Qd84X3GBBxjGj_4GPuJNeYOG_8G6cl9wk_ECjzMEX4tUhxa7TOK8eh71ug1HuDMi3%26dbm_d%3DAKAmf-BFU5GkVFOSIV6kfcvW23iIKsYhapvyRHV4zPcSJSDtZd0cvgyeU2ka2aLfQhJsviYcBHQMnMqTSiABitVaMHvfqqLD13-cvxPYtOa4VPg0l-LATBe9RyfLwoSyX8xk8MAKr9pDW91qhYRDBjcBiMcopjDASIyNuQRn10HuXiME4QKKyvaWOCjuqclRwvEprog-1yEKzotqAv_3RPrb9-A40aPVK27K6f9K3FOnaKd8oYol6rSxpxJLUai_BhH6lLVj5Oy1%26adurl%3D%22%5D

So I just want to prevent problems like that. I haven't had a report like this since I installed those other stubs in 2014, so I guess rockabox is a new one?

That's what I thought about the robots.txt, and I thought that maybe that site had the files uploaded and was just using robots.txt to prevent them from being indexed. If so, though, they just gave me a 404 error when I tried to view them, so I'm not sure.

Good news, I found what I think is a fairly complete list!

[support.google.com...]

I also had to download /doubleclick/adx_iframe.html separately, no idea why they didn't include that in the ZIP package.

Sucks that I have to clutter up my /www/ directory with 27 directories, though. Maybe I'll play around with .htaccess so I can put them in one directory and make them redirect? Unless you guys have a better suggestion.

I've never had reports of redirect errors from Adsense ads. Why do you think this is happening at your site? Is your site architecture causing this?

It's definitely not on my end, the link on Google support confirms it.

Back in 2012 I had my first report from users that they were visiting a page on my site and immediately being redirected to another page. After much digging, I traced it down to a specific ad, and found where someone had posted a stub file you could use to "fix" it.

Two years later, it happened again, and I found the other stub files.

I haven't had any more complaints until today, when someone told me they were experiencing a redirect. Once they showed me the URL they were being directed to (posted above) it was obvious that I needed another stub file.

The link I posted to Google Support has the "rockabox" listed, so that's definitely the problem. After I uploaded the new stub files, they haven't reported any more problems.

Do your reports say that they were redirected after clicking/tapping on the ad, or are they being redirected on focus or hover?

No, the report I had today said that it happened almost immediately after the page started to load. This is consistent with what I saw in 2012 and 2014 myself; it redirected as soon as the ad started to load, with no action on the user's part.

I was concerned about "false clicks", too, but Adsense doesn't show any type of spike in clicks.
