Hi All,

I'm moving to a new server today - I've FTP downloaded all my website files, and copied my MySQL database all to my windows 7 PC.

What I want to do - is scan all my php, image, swf, html, etc, etc files - for any possible hackers/malware/virus which could be transferred to my new server if I just re-uploaded the files.

I will go though each of the text pages, and look for changes to the code - but what about the image files?

I just thought while it was on my pc it would be a good chance to look everything over.

Thanks for the help!

Yes, now you've done that, it's a good idea, however, you may want to run a scan of the current site online, too, as that's where a problem may lie, and remain undetected by an offline scanner. In any case, i'd probably use more than one scanner. Most a/v and antispyware vendors offer a download-free scanner.

Some hosts routinely run scans as part of their safety and security.
