Do I ask in SSID [webmasterworld.com], in Asia/Pacific [webmasterworld.com] or in Yahoo [webmasterworld.com]?

IP: 183.79.218.various (appears to be legitimately Yahoo Japan, based in Osaka)
UA: Y!J-ASR/0.1 crawler (http://www.yahoo-help.jp/app/answers/detail/p/595/a_id/42716/)

I don't read Japanese and I strongly distrust the results of Google Translate; is that a list of possible UA elements in the middle of the page? It looks more like a list of VCR model numbers.

Preliminary visit requesting robots.txt followed by one interior page; longer visit yesterday, again beginning in robots.txt, followed by 30 pages over several hours. So no issues with their behavior; I'm just curious. To the best of my knowledge, IP and UA are both new to me, and I can't find a thread talking about them in detail.

Sorry, I missed this one. Would have noticed it earlier in the Asia Pacific Forum.

That IP range is owned by Yahoo Japan, but keep in mind that they also run an ISP in Japan by the "Yahoo BB" name as well. I was concerned it might be someone running a legit crawler UA from their home. That help page is legit. It's from Yahoo Japan. They list Y! J-ASR as a Yahoo Japan crawler.
