I have just been on wiki and they are asking for donations again. I wondered if webmasters donate to wiki? I see lots of comments on here with people claiming that wiki dominates the serps ahead of their sites.

So out of interest, does wiki top your site in the serps and do you donate?

No and No.

Part of reason one is their editors.
Part of reason two is their editors.

Do I use it? Sometimes. Most usually as part of other "less structured politically correct" searches.

Google has given them some multi-million dollar donations

Google just wants to harvest all the user generated info for their knowledge engine.

Which makes sense, since Wiki harvests information from websites like mine :-)

I donate from time to time. Wikipedia has been a great help during my high school and university studies, so that's my way to say 'thank you'.

As a webmaster, I don't have much interest in Wiki. As a student and knowledge-seeker, I do.
