I have a WordPress site and I need to include/link to a number of documents in PDFs. The site is temporary (it's an online brochure for an employment position) and will be viewed by a limited number of people (candidates for the job).
I went with WordPress because it was an easy way to have a responsive design. But PDFs aren't responsive.
I know PDFs are understandably frowned upon in terms of UX, but I know of no workaround. I don't have the time or resources to re-create all the PDFs as HTML pages.
With so many people using tablets (as opposed to smartphones) these days, do I really need to be concerned that the users with smaller devices are going to be slightly inconvenienced when viewing the PDFs?
In other words, am I worrying about a non-issue?
Note: An obvious consideration is the demographics of the candidates. Due to the nature of the position, the candidates can range widely in age and technical savviness.
